Mary's Popcorn Shop story

Éric St-Onge et Marie-Ève ont déménagé du Québec à Banff, en Alberta, en 1999. Après avoir conduit un taxi pendant plusieurs années, Éric a eu l'idée d'ouvrir leur premier casse-croûte. Après des mois passés à tester des recettes dans leur cuisine, Éric et Marie-Ève ont ouvert leur première boutique Mary's Popcorn Shop sur l'avenue Banff. Éric et Marie-Ève ont travaillé avec diligence pour perfectionner les recettes et maintenir le succès de leur boutique de maïs soufflé gastronomique. Après du temps et du succès, le père d’Éric St-Onge ouvre la première boutique au Québec.


La famille St-Onge a construit et fabriqué avec passion du maïs soufflé gastronomique qui a touché la vie de beaucoup de gens partout dans le monde.


En 2021, Dale et Ashley Sarna on acheté la boutique Mary's Popcorn Shop dans le but de perpétuer l'héritage du goût et du style d'Éric St- Onge et de Marie-Ève en matière de maïs soufflé gastronomique.

Eric St. Onge and Marie-Eve moved to Banff Alberta from Quebec in 1999. After driving taxi for serveral years, Eric was inspired to open their first snack shop. After months of testing recipes in their kitchen, Eric and Marie-Eve opened up the first Mary’s Popcorn Shop on Banff Ave. Eric and Marie-Eve worked diligently in perfecting the recipes and maintaining a successful gourmet popcorn shop. After some time and success, Eric St. Onge’s father opened the first shop in Quebec. 


The St. Onge family passionately built and crafted a gourmet popcorn that has touched the lives of people from all over the world.


In 2021, Dale and Ashley Sarna purchased Mary’s Popcorn Shop with the goal to carry on the legacy of the Eric St. Onge’s and Marie-Eve’s taste and class for gourmet popcorn.

Mary's Popcorn Shop Goes International

In 2025, we proudly opened our doors in Lyon, France, followed by our Canmore, Alberta location in 2026. Our handcrafted gourmet popcorn, made with natural ingredients, is now delighting taste buds across borders. With more locations on the horizon, we are committed to sharing our authentic flavors with popcorn lovers everywhere.
